Terms of Service
Last updated October 24, 2026
1. These terms
These terms are the agreement between you and [legal entity or your name — to be completed before launch] ("Memoecho", "we") when you use the Memoecho app at youtubcard.lovable.app. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them.
2. What the service does
Memoecho turns YouTube videos you submit by link into an English transcript, focused flashcards, and a private library where you can reflect on each idea. Cards can include the speaker's name (when identifiable) and a link back to the exact moment in the video. The service currently supports YouTube links only.
3. Your account
You need an account to keep a library. You can sign in with Google or with email and a password. Keep your credentials safe — you are responsible for activity on your account. Each library is private to its account.
4. Acceptable use
- Only submit videos you are allowed to access, and use the service in a way that complies with YouTube's Terms of Service.
- Do not attempt to read other users' libraries, overload the service, scrape it, resell it, or use it to build a competing product.
- Transcripts and flashcards are for your personal learning. Do not republish them as if they were the original creator's work.
5. Plans and limits
- Free plan: up to 1 video per day and 5 videos per month. Articles and other content types are not currently supported.
- Pro plan (€2.99/month): up to 30 videos per month, no daily limit.
Unused allowances do not roll over. We may adjust limits as the service evolves; if a change reduces your plan materially, we will tell you in advance.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Pro is a monthly subscription billed in advance through our payment provider. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. We do not refund partial months.
If you are an EU consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you subscribe. When you subscribe and immediately receive access to the service, you can ask us to start right away, and if you do you agree to lose that withdrawal right once the service is fully provided. Price changes apply from your next renewal, with advance notice.
7. AI-generated content
Transcripts, translations, tags, speaker names and flashcards are generated automatically and may contain mistakes — including imperfect transcription, translation or attribution. They are study aids, not authoritative sources: you can always jump back to the exact moment in the original video. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for medical, legal or financial decisions.
8. Third-party content
Videos you link to remain the property of their creators and of YouTube. We do not host them; we store your link, a transcript and the cards derived from it, for your personal use inside the app. If a creator asks us to remove material derived from their video, we will act on a valid request.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Memoecho available, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may change as the product evolves. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Memoecho is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data you can re-create (for example, by re-adding a link). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including towards consumers for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using Memoecho and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated breaches, with notice where practicable. When the account ends, your library and personal data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email in advance; continuing to use the service after they take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. EU consumers can also rely on the consumer protection rules of their country of residence, and disputes may be brought before the courts of the consumer's home country.
